Bob Ebdon, Site Artist
Bob drew all the pictures used in our site, see more examples of his excellent work here. We feel he has done an excellent job for us, if required he could for you too! His speciality is drawing pictures from photographs... pets, people, buildings, you name it, he does it! Charges very fair prices and does a great job - well worth a visit.

British Garden Birds
An excellent website created by an amateur birdwatcher to share the experience of the birds that he has attracted to his Sheffield garden over the years. Contains excellent pictures of most garden visitors plus sound effects to! Superbly laid out, don't miss this one!

British Trust for Ornithology
The BTO has existed since 1933 as an independent scientific research trust, investigating the populations, movement and ecology of wild birds in the British Isles. Their website is well worth a visit.

Buteo Books
An American based site that specializes in Ornithology books, with one of the largest selections of new, used, and rare birding books in the world, from birdwatching your backyard to textbooks for the serious ornithologist.

Dean Birders
Based near the Forest of Dean, this organization specialises in setting up nest boxes and feeders in the gardens of disabled and elderly people who are restricted to the house.

Dutch Birding Association
An interesting Dutch site, with extensive picture and sound galleries of wild birds. Has details of recent sightings plus you can put forward your own pictures for publication.

English Nature
English Nature is a government agency that champions the conservation of wildlife and natural features throughout England. A good site for keeping you up to date with the latest issues.

Friends of the Earth
A must for the active environmentalist! Gives details of local and national issues.

Marine Conservation Society
The UK's national charity for the marine environment and it's wildlife. An interesting site, deals with the current issues and problems and has some great pictures too.

A site designed specially for birdwatchers with an interest in the wildlife of Mull and the islands of Argylle.Worth a visit.

New Zealand Birds
An impressive listing of New Zealand birds, with many beautiful illustrations.

Pico Verde Walking Holidays
This is a very professionaly put together site, offering independent or guided Walking Holidays in Spain. The site is a delight to surf, and has a great selection of Bird and Flower pictures.

An superb library of images, more than you could ever want to see, with an excellent search facility.

A really fascinating site dedicated to British Bats. For example, did you know that a single bat can eat up to 3,000 mosquitoes in one night?! Well worth a visit even if you're not endeared to this mysterious species.

The Essex Wildlife Trust
We have been supporters of the Essex Wildlife Trust for many years now, with the support of the local community they are responsible for some very worthwhile conservation projects. If you live in Essex why not give their site a visit and see what’s going on locally.
